DAMS working alongside Epic for FR3.5 tests

GP2 team DAMS has announced that it is to work alongside Epic Racing at this week’s World Series by Renault test session in Barcelona, which is taking place at the Circuit de Catalunya on Tuesday and Wednesday. The French team hopes to enter the series next year.
Monday saw World Series organisers release a list of 18 teams which hope to contest the 2012 championship; next Monday, 13 of those will be granted entry as another two remain on the sidelines as stand-by outfits.
‘DAMS wanted to prepare its engineers, drivers and mechanics in view of a possible entry and the French squad has decided to associate itself with the Spanish Epic team for the 2011 end-of-season tests,’ a statement reads.
After the Catalunya test, DAMS will also be alongside Epic – which won Sunday’s season-ending race with Albert Costa - for two days at MotorLand Aragn.
